With the help of Jeff I managed to write my first aether module, which helps me organize my pictures. It is very simple, all you need to do is to upload your images, along with thumbnails for them (you need to maintain some naming conventions, which I didn't yet fully specify), and call the 'image_thumb' markup, which will generate a table with all thumbs and links to the pictures.
