It's a nice zoom lens, 300mm is pretty wild as you see in the picture. And if you bear in mind that the 350D actually has a 1.6 factor on the sensor opposed to 35mm film then the lens is a 120-480mm equivalent.
It's a pretty slow lens 4.0-5.6 but it's worth the money it was (I got mine from BHPhoto).
