beautiful church illumination
Not far from where we live there is a roman catholic church...

Work on this church started in 1899 - at first a committee was formed, and with some donations (Wilhelm Muehle donated the ground, Sándor Dessewffy donated 50000 crowns) the work on the curch started on the 12th June 1912. The war stopped the work, and the church was finished in 1919.

Finally it was consecrated by Augustin Pacha in 1938.


This year it underwent an interesting project: to add external lighting. Instead of traditional lighting, the church got multi-color lighting which is simply breathtaking. It's part of a more complete project: each year about 5 interesting buildings will be lighted similarly.

I'll have to redo the photos some day, and use a tripod. Shooting from the hand at ISO 1600 doesn't really do it justice...
